Swordfish Tom’s

In this episode, Sari talks to Jill, owner of Swordfish Tom's, a cocktail bar located in The Crossroads. This intimate hideaway is serving refined craft cocktails in a sophisticated, vintage-inspired setting. While living in Lincoln, Nebraska, Jill perfected cocktail making while bartending at The Other Room. During her time there, she helped the bar become a James Beard semifinalist for Best Bar Program in 2015.

Dani Roma

In this episode, Sari talks to Dani Roma, local muralist. Once the pandemic hit, Dani decided to leave her teaching job and focus on her art. She is now painting murals all over KC and cities throughout the country. A lot of her designs can be found using the city’s personality as inspiration. She uses bold line work, loud colors, and dreamlike imagery to create a fun and inviting vibe.

Mazzeffe’s

In this episode, Sari talks to Leanna, owner of Mazzeffe's, a custom apparel company helping turn logos into wearable pieces. Leanna's interest in heat pressing and screen printing started when she was in high school. Having a dad with a heat press at home, Leanna saw a business opportunity to make some extra cash by jumping on the monogram trend and selling clothes to her peers. Little Fixations
