Kansas City has dozens if not hundreds of cookie makers. Each baker has to find the thing that makes them unique. Ali Madden from The Heartland Cookie Co has found her groove in offering cookies of eccentric shapes. Deeming herself as the cookie “Peen Queen,” Ali says there is no theme she cannot peen.
